Yoga for relaxation

Yoga for relaxation is based on my learnings from Viniyoga. Viniyoga is not a yoga style as such, more a way of teaching. It is a needs-based practice, meaning the poses are always adapted to the individual. If a deep backbend is not appropriate for your body, it is not forced. Instead, each posture is practiced in a way that feels natural, supportive. Some muscular engagement or mild soreness may occur as strength develops, but the intensity is always guided by your body’s needs.

This approach has helped me appreciate softer flows and doing what is right for my body. I still like to practice more challenging yoga sequences but Viniyoga is my go to daily yoga. 

This class begins with relaxation ( ankommen) followed by poses (Asanas) that build up to the goal pose (peak posture) or a particular theme we are working on. We end with relaxation and Pranayama (relaxation). 

This class is suitable for beginners, I also incorporate the use of a chair/stool for some poses so it is a very accessible class.
